The Story Behind Tomorrow Daydream

Every small business has a beginning. Mine started in the middle of one of the hardest seasons of my life.

Where It All Began

In 2018, at 22 years old, I was searching for direction. I had always dreamed of owning my own business, but I didn't know where to start so I set that dream aside and focused on finding a job. Then, in March of that year, I lost my mother. She wasn't just my mom; she was my best friend. Her laugh, her voice, our conversations gone in an instant. The grief was overwhelming.

But in the middle of that pain, I made a decision: I was going to keep going. I was going to make her proud. I threw myself into my job search, enrolled in college that fall, and slowly started rebuilding. She became my reason to push forward.

Fast forward to 2020. Like so many of us, I found myself at home during the pandemic and I rediscovered my love for reading. I started collecting bookmarks, and one day while scrolling through TikTok, a thought hit me: What if I made my own? Self-doubt crept in quickly there were already so many out there. Who would buy mine?

I pushed past that voice. A few months later, I tried my hand at making tumblers using alcohol inks and glitter, and something clicked. The creative process brought me joy in a way I hadn't felt in a long time. I knew then that I wanted to build something real a business that combined my love of handcrafted tumblers, bookmarks, and stationery. This time, I refused to let doubt win.

Three years of saving, learning, and preparing later, Tomorrow Daydream officially launched in the fall of 2023. I became a small business owner something I had dreamed became a reality. I carry so much pride in that, and I carry my mom with me every single day. I believe she's watching over me, my guardian angel, cheering me on every step of the way.

The name Tomorrow Daydream is a reminder that no matter what today looks like, tomorrow holds possibility. It's the dream you hold onto even when the path isn't clear.
